Wave and Ocean Energy
Wave power technology captures energy generated from the waves in the ocean, by using the rise and fall of waves to activate pumps and generators. Wave energy is more predictable than wind, as waves normally continue for 6 to 8 hours after the wind drops.
The development of wave power is still in its infancy, but there is no doubt that wave and ocean energy will play a role in the future energy production.
We offer 4 courses that cover the essential elements of this area. One course has focus of how offshore wind energy plays along with wave energy.
